Chery Lin Nourishing Cleansing Balm

I have to preface this post by saying that this review has been a very long time coming.  I was sent the Chery Lin Nourishing Cleansing Balm* to try out back in the late spring of last year - unfortunately getting this coincided with my having some awful problems with my skin so I didn't want to tempt fate by adding a new product into this mix.

I'm actually a little sad I didn't try out this Nourishing Cleansing Balm sooner though, as it did my skin a lot of good when I finally started using it.

Chery Lin Nourishing Cleansing Balm

My skincare has been going down an organic/natural route for a good while now, so the Chery Lin Nourishing Cleansing Balm has been a great addition to my routine; the list of ingredients is refreshingly short, and very softening, including almond oil, cocoa butter, and beeswax, and the balm has a lovely light fragrance that is both refreshing and soothing.

It's often said about cleansers of this type, but a little does go a very long way with this cleansing balm; the texture starts off very thick, almost hard in fact, but half a teaspoon or a little less quickly softens in the hands and morphs into an oil on the skin when massaged in with circular motions.  This cleanser is great at melting and lifting away the last of my face makeup (I use a micellar water to start the removal and to get my eye makeup off); I wipe it away with a muslin cloth and warm water and am left with lovely clean skin.  A quick sweep of toner and my favourite Trilogy moisturiser and I am good to go.  After long term use I can safely say this cleanser has left my skin not only softer but definitely cleanser feeling too.

Whilst that's it for talking about the product itself, I can't finish the review without mentioning the packaging.  I adore the heavy glass jar, it always feels reassuringly luxurious and grown up, and it may be completely shallow but I love how it looks nestled amongst my other skincare on my dressing table.

I'd definitely love to try more from Chery Lin Organics in the future, a skincare brand that like this that is so focused on healing is a real treat to use.

A 50ml jar of Chery Lin Nourishing Cleansing Balm is £18.90 and can be found here.
