Origins Super Spot Remover

In general I tend to have pretty clear skin, but if I'm not eating well or am generally a bit run down I can get the odd spot or little breakout.  For years I would just let these occasional blemishes run their course, but a few months back I had a particularly persistant little blighter that seemed like it was going to hang on forever, so off I went in search of a solution.  I had a quick look on some of my favourite skincare blogs and the same product was recommended and reviewed time and again - Origins Super Spot Remover.

As this was to be the first spot treatment I'd ever tried, I was a little wary of spending so much on the Origins Super Spot Remover (especially as it's such a tiny bottle) but now I've tried it for a little while I honestly don't regret the purchase at all.

The bottle may only contain 10ml of product, but you don't need to use much at all, and the ingredients pack a punch.  Salicylic acid aids healing, witch hazel is a natural astringent, clove oil has antiseptic properties and cucumber and caffeine help to calm and reduce redness.

Now the type of blemishes I get tend to be angry red bumps rather than full on spots and if I catch them early, using a cotton bud to apply a very thin layer of Origins Super Spot Remover a couple of times a day, the redness is soothed and healing time is drastically reduced.  In the past one of these blemishes could take well over a week to heal completely.  That time is now easily cut in half so I love this spot treatment for that.

The only negative thing I have to say about this product is that it can be a little drying if not applied literally just on the spot - being a little more careful in application easily solves that problem though.  The herbal/medicinal smell of this used to bother me at first too, but now I've gotten used to it I find it smells more 'clean' than anything else.

It's safe to say that Origins Super Spot Remover has been a big hit in my house and even Gaz has gotten in on the act and bought himself a bottle.  I can see us always having a bottle of the spot remover on hand.

Origins Super Spot Remover is £13.00 and is available from the Origins website (here).

Leave a comment if you've tried this product, or let me know about your favourite spot treatment.
