Spring Beauty Haul

So here it is, the haul I hinted at in my last spending ban update (here) or as I like to call it 'The Haul of Shame'!  Now as I mentioned in that update March got a little out of hand for me, I didn't buy all of these thing at once however (well most of the Kiehl's things were bought in one go) it was a more of a slow spend over a period of time.  Also not all of this haul was bought with cash, there were some vouchers involved too.

Anyway, without further ado, here is what I bought in the month of the March...

A picture of Kiehl's and Neal's Yard Remedies skincare
Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream - A staple product from Kiehl's, this moisturiser claims to offer up to 24 hours of moisture and helps reduce water loss in the skin.  I can't attest to that at the moment, but I can say it's a nice product to use so far and makes my skin feel very comfortable (it does have a bit of a weird smell though).
Neal's Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm - I actually haven't tried this beauty balm yet, but I'm very excited to.  It's won a multitude of awards (including one from the Green Beauty Bible, one of my favourite books) and is a real multi-tasker; it can be used as a skin-nourishing balm, a gentle exfoliator or a lovely rich cleanser.  Combine all three uses and you have yourself a facial too!
Kiehl's Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream - I was so excited to try this when it came out, and I really like using it so far.  With spf50 and ingredients that are reported to improve the appearance of skin over longer-term use, I'm looking forward to seeing how this works for me.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate - So many other bloggers have raved about the product I couldn't wait to try it out.  Filled with skin-loving oils and fatty acids it claims to give younger looking skin overnight.  Here's hoping!
Kiehl's Acai Damage-Reparing Serum - This serum is full of lovely antioxidants and used under a daily moisturiser can help improve the tone and texture of skin.  I've been using it almost every day since I bought it and am loving it so far.
Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye -A perfect partner to the Midnight Recovery Concentrate, I've been using this eye cream at night for a number of weeks now and it's lovely to use.  Already it seems to make my eyes look just that little bit brighter, I can't wait to see what it does long term.

A picture of Nars and Illamasqua makeup
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab - This is my go-to everyday foundation, it has fantastic medium coverage and makes my skin look flawless.  I was wearing a lighter shade over the winter that's a little too pale now, so bought the next shade darker to take me through to the Summer.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard - A new release from Nars, this has quickly become my favourite under eye concealer.  It's very highly pigmented so a little goes a long way, and it doesn't crease or dry out under my eyes.  I'll be doing a review of this very soon.
Illamasqua Lipstick in Sangers - I got this little beauty in the Illamasqua sale, and I absolutely adore it.  It's the perfect blood red lipstick and like most Illamasqua lippies it's very comfortable to wear.

A picture of Stila and Maybelline Eyeshadows and Essie Nail Polish
Stila Smudge Pot in Kitten - This is my favourite shade of eyeshadow in 'In the Light Palette', and whilst I find the texture a little dry in the smudge pot version, I still really like it.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow in Permanent Taupe - I've heard so many people talk about these that I really wanted to try one.  They don't have a massive range of shades and this is the only one I was attracted too.  Hopefully I'll get on with it!
Essie Nail Polish in Smokin' Hot - I'm a big fan of Essie nail polishes, and this lovely purple-gray is no exception to that.  I know it's a bit of a wintery shade, but I think it looks great on my nails when I'm at work.

Well that's it for that haul folks.  I know it was an epic one so I'll be impressed if many people got to the end of it!  As you can probably tell skincare has been one of my main obsessions over the last few months and I imagine that won't change as we (hopefully) move into warmer weather.  I doubt I'll have a haul of this size again any time soon though, I think I'm pretty well set up for a good while.

What have you been buying over the last couple of months?  Do you tend to go as overboard as I do on occasion?

  1. Wow, you got some great stuff! I've used the Kiehls Acai serum before and agree that it's amazing! The Nars concealer looks good, I've yet to try anything from Nars.

I've been buying lots of hair care products lately and yep, I buy in bulk as well haha.
Thanks for leaving me your link on the bbloggers chat :)

    1. You should definitely try something from Nars, like asap, they're products are so amazing :-)

I'm always a bit blase about haircare products, tend to just buy whatever is on sale in Boots. I think I need to sort the situation out though, maybe do a bit of research into what might actually be good for my hair.
