Exercise and Diet - a new plan

It's been a while since I've written anything about the exercise and diet plan I've been doing, so I think I'm well overdue for an update.

Before the house-sitting debacle I'd actually been doing pretty well with the exercise plan.  I'd been going to the gym regularly and my fitness definitely improved.  Staying at my mam's and having my wisdom tooth infection meant a bit less activity though, and while I've been recovering I've just let myself chill on both the diet and exercise front.

I'm feeling far better now though, so this week I've thrown myself back into it.  I booked in at the gym to get my exercise plan re-assessed, and last night I went in for my first full session.  I'm doing more advanced cardio, using the treadmill and cross trainer, and for toning doing much more work with free-weights and the stability ball.  I can safely say that this is going to work for me again; i woke up this morning aching in some new and interesting places at the very least!

While I've definitely been committed to the exercise side of things, I hadn't been doing anywhere near as well with the diet.  I can't blame it on one thing in particular, just the combination of the crappy weather, being quite busy, and maybe lacking a bit of willpower have kept me from being quite so angelic with my food choices.  No more of that though, on Monday night I joined Weight Watchers.

I did Weight Watchers a few years ago (that time round I lost a stone and a half!) so I know it can work for me if I put the effort into it.  So far I've been doing well, using my daily, and part of my weekly, Pro Points allowance, and tracking everything in the new and improved journal.

I've got my first weigh-in this Monday night anyway, so I'll soon see if the effort I've put in bears fruit!
