Beauty Haul - Foundations & Nails

Sometimes nothing makes me happier than treating myself to some beauty products, when I'm feeling in a bit of a funk it can really lift my spirits.  I'm not the type of person who'll do one big spend (I'd feel too guilty for that) but all of the little bits and pieces I've bought recently have added up into something that could be considered haul-worthy!  Here's the first part of my haul...

Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation - first up in my new obsession with looking for the perfect base.  Everyone I know who's tried this foundation has raved about it so I thought I'd give it a go.  This isn't the perfect shade for me but seems to work well teamed with a little bit of my next purchase...

Illamasqua Powder Foundation - you'd think that teaming a liquid and powder foundation would look far too heavy and cakey but a little of this layered over the Skin Base foundation gives me great medium coverage but still looks like my skin.

Bourjois 1, 2, 3 Perfect Foundation -  this is the first 'drug store' foundation I've bought in quite a few years; I haven't tried it out yet properly but I've heard good things about this brand in general so I'm hopeful.

Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer - I've tried this with a few different foundations and so far I can really take it or leave it; I haven't used a lot of primers though so maybe it's something to do with the way I'm using it.

Collection 2000 Hot Looks Nail Polish in Bongo Beat - loving colour change polishes at the moment, and this one by Collection 2000 is no exception.  It's green in some lights and blue in others, and it lasts pretty well with a good base coat and topcoat.

Collection 2000 Hot Looks Nail Polish in BMX Bandit - this shade is so pretty I can't get enough of it.

Superdrug 3 in 1 Base Coat, Ridge Filler & Growth Enhancer - I always like to try out different base coats, especially ones that are combined with a treatment of some sort.  This particular base is fairly good and helps my polish last, it's made it into my regular use pile anyway,

Topshop Nails in Gone Fishing - this colour seems to be a pretty good dupe for Essie's Mint Candy Apple so I couldn't help myself with this one!

The next part of my haul, featuring skincare, hair and makeup purchases will be in my next post...
